I've ridden this splitboard for a few years now and even stopping and going to other brands and eventually coming back this season. I ride the solid in resort and call it the quiver killer of boards and I feel the same way about the splitboard, the taper on this split allows for more float and makes this nimble and quick edge to edge but at the same time and can feel so surfy. I have taken this on low angle tree runs, open bowls and 50 degree slopes in tight spaces and I am always amazed by the performance. Uphill is super awesome on this and paired with the Weston Approach skins, you got yourself quite the quiver killer of splitboards here.
Best Used for:
- Deep Powder
- Tree Run
- float

I think the Backwoods rules. It is a fun feeling to have such a fat nose and tapered, cambered profile with riser on the nose + set back stance. It crushes big lines, open faces and loves to spray slashes. It's like a big wave surf gun out there.
Pros:
- Can switch ride. Fast and energy driven.
Cons:
- It can wash out of big airs for small tail
Best Used for:
- Big lines, floating, slashes, trees, airs

This board is sick! Great for pow but I was even more surprised how hard I could ride it in various conditions. Quality materials. A little heavy, but I’d say that’s a good thing when looking for durability. So go forth and slay pow.

Great splitboard. We have done two backcountry trips with this board, first for an AIARE 1 class and one trip to RNMP. The board performs really well in deep powder. We also rode hardpack and a soft skin track and it did well in both.

This split has been the most versatile board I have ever owned... Hands down! It's a directional board with excellent torsional flex that makes smooth transition between turns and ideal for all abilities. The core and construction seems to dampen any rough condition you may run into and has an early rise nose that helps propel you of deep snow. Perfect all season board that can take you anywhere.

Ive been a magazine gear guide gear tester and avid splitboarder for years now. And I love the backwoods. So Sick. The traditional trade-off is agility/ playfulness vs stiffness/ stability. The backwoods is a 9/10 on both categories. The short stiff tail lets you dance around when the runout is tight trees, The big nose provedes beautiful float without giving it a surfy washy feel at high speeds.
Rad snowboard. highly recommend.

This is an awesome splitboard on those big days powder days! The setback stance and shorter tail makes it incredibly easy to handle in tight trees and makes jump turns in steep icy couloirs a breeze. Powder is what this board excels in the most, from epic powder fields to cliff drops, the backwoods split board will handle it all!
