Most Helpful Positive Review An axe with a mission!
My needs are 1. portability--this is a fine sizing at 22" and a perfect weight head...2. felling and splitting-----this one is great for both jobs, you can get two hands on it and produce excellent power for felling while the head is shaped in true wedge fashion to make easy work on preparing kindling for the fire...3. Excellent workmanship, I am used to custom made tools and GB quality axes, how

Great axe

The "Survivorman" axe is the right size between a hatchet and a small forest axe. Very capable for backpacking and hunting and still light weight.

Quality Tool, Survivorman Approved

by Eranthe, from AL, United States Written on May 5, 2014
These axes are made by the legendary swedish axemakers, Wetterlings. Ask any woodsman worth his salt and you'll find out quickly that Wetterlings is one of the most (if not THE most) trusted name in axes. With proper care, this axe should last a lifetime and can be trusted with any task you can throw at it, from chopping firewood, to felling small to medium trees or general campsite use.

The Survivorman Bush axe by Wetterling is a wonderful, one of a kind axe. It is perfect for small to medium logs and cutting down small to medium trees. Its hammer back allows for it to be more than just another medium axe. Drive nails or use a hammer to punch through hard knocks in a logs or trees. The handle is finished perfectly and feels natural in the handle. Splitting kindling from logs or c

Great Bushcraft Axe

by Woodsmasher, Written on January 13, 2013
An all around camp axe that you can pack and hike with quite easily. The size while not a 3/4 axe is ample enough to do big chores when needed yet small enough to handle great for detailed work.

This is not a work axe there are plenty of bigger heavier axes for using all day long chopping, limbing etc. However the bushman is a quality cutting tool best used around camp making things like pegs, shav
