Reviews & Ratings for Wetterlings Forester's Fine Axe
— 1 review — Page 1
You might be tempted to buy a cheap ax thinking they all cut about the same and all last about the same but trust me the difference between this ax and a gerber or something even cheaper is like the difference between horse and buggy and a boeing 747. I can cut a 12-14 tree with this ax in 20 to 25 swings v. 70 to 90 with a gerber and forget about using something cheaper than that. Furthermore, when I finish cutting the tree the with this ax it is still sharp enough to shave with and when the handle breaks it can be replaced unlike the gerber that I replaced after the handle broke after less than a year. I have owned this ax for 7 years now and I am still using the original handle and have never felt let down by this ax.
