Just as the C4s but better trigger action and has an extendable sling. It doesn't extend much but it has definitely helped. Super bomber to place and they feel lighter than the C4s. Love them so much I just bought another set.

Between the discounted price and my coupon, these cams were dirt cheap! I was a little skeptical about the newer lobe profile because they feel smoother than they used to, but they great when placing. I never looked at the specs on expansion range, to see how they compare with the older model WC or other brands, but they seem to be on par with any others I've used! I'd say they're a great deal for what i paid! (Roughly $55 US/ cam)
Pros:
Price
range
Included sling
Cons:
The #2 cam is "pee" yellow
Best Used for:
trad

I decided to purchase these based on the recommendation of several friends. While I have used theirs, this is a recent purchase and I have yet to use mine. Based on the use of my friends, they are sturdy and long lasting! I am impressed so far! I look forward to putting my own set to work!

Wild Countries friends are a great cam that rivals any cam on the market. It may not be the lightest but the action, ease of use, and construction give you the best bang for your buck. I would definitely recommend these cams for any climber.
Pros:
Well made
Good design
Quality materials
Cons:
Not the lightest cam on the market
Best Used for:
Trad climbing

Hade a few newest generation C4’s with the bulk of my rack being the older style. Though the weight difference is minimal compared to the new style C4’s there was quite a weight savings compared to the old style. Comparing it to the current generation the weight on paper is not much different but the head weight with the hallow axles feels quite a bit lighter.

I recently upgraded from black diamond C4's to the new Wild Country Friends. The improvements made by Wild Country are fantastic. The reduced weight, improved lobe design and extendable sling makes these fantastic to use.
