Smooth belay

Belays as smooth as a tube style device, has an autolock for safety. Requires a bit of speed and payout before engaging the autolock so expect a bit of a fall before the catch. Great for lead rope solo.

Cons:
  • Autoblock engages after fall spped reaches a threshold
Best Used for:
  • Lead belay, lead rope solo

Revo belay device

Excellent devices, great for people switching from an atc. Almost impossible to short rope. Universal can be used either direction so you can’t feed it wrong. Not as good as gri gri for people who hang dog up a route
