ZOLEO GPS Communicator
Received earlier than expected. Easy setup and simple signup for messaging. Used for a week during backcountry hunting trip, worked flawlessly. Temps ranged from 60’s to teens over night, rain and snowed on the ZOLEO, and kept on going. Easy to pack along during days in the field and left outside overnight at base camp. Definitely works as good as or better than Garmin for the price. Downloaded maps and used for general guidance, worked fine for what we needed. Was able to relay location and check in with family. New Owner to Zoleo
Zoleo is an easy set up completed steps and ready for use. Will not be on trail until June 2022 but planning on working with in in my vehicle. Campsaver offered good price after discount and shipped to my address without a hitch. 1st time Campsaver customer, and will most certainly visit there site for my future camping and bacpacking needs.

Perfect for my needs
This thing connects fast and messages go through quick. If you want a device for emergencies and messaging family this is it. If you need more look at the more expensive competitors. Although zoleo is pushing out updates which may include more features.

Essential Backcountry Equipment
As much as I love Garmin devices and had the inReach mini on my short list, I opted for ZOLEO. Why? Robust, rugged device that seamlessly connects with my iPhone making texting and weather reports easy to access. Definitely user friendly, and works as a stand alone unit, as I recently tested in the field by sending location checks to my designated contacts. As good an insurance policy as you can get (other than common sense) for avoiding dire outcomes in the backcountry. Access plans are competitive and flexible, so no reason not to get one!
