The lightness, Vibram Mulaz outsole, climbing lacing, rubber protections and the precise but comfortable fit make the Men's Mountain Trainer Mid GTX from Salewa a perfect all around shoe. The improved upper construction allows more comfort in the ankle area along with a PU shock absorber for maximum comfort over long distances.

These may be the best boots on the planet.
At age 65, I have worn out more boots than most readers of this review could imagine.
In all those miles, I have never experienced boots like these.
They truly are like a custom orthotic. They grasp the ball of my heel as if in the palm of my hand.
You need to replace the insert with Soles but after that, these boots become part of you...

These boots are awesome...Comfortable, stable, and are virtually bulletproof. They have a roomy toe-box with no hotspots even out of the box on a multiday backcountry trip. They are warm but not hot and are supportive enough to handle more weight that my back... If rock kicking was a sport I would scramble for a pair of these babies. Stop looking and start buying.
