It's light, dries fast and out of the box, they're amazingly comfortable. I'm glad I didn't get the gtx version with goretex. I'd much rather have 60% better ventilation 100% of the time, than being dry when there's water. The ankle isn't high enough to stop splashes going in the shoe, without gaiters.

I've used these shoes for everything from the short approaches at the local bouldering area in Phoenix to an extended weekend of backpacking in the North Cascades NP and they're still alive and well.
