Perfect for almost anything.

These are great boots. Lightweight yet tough enough for handling endless sharp embedded rocks, good traction in light mud/slick trails, excellent traction for approaches/grade 4 climbing with good to great smearing ability and some edging ability (largely dependent on how they fit you/how snug you are laced, like always). Lightweight. Reasonable ankle support. Super comfortable footbed, even with skinny Scarpa insert. 6’1”, 215 lbs with 13 2E to 4E sneaker size. Size 13 in the Mescalito is perfect. They were a little snug in the toe box, but loosening the laces took care of that. Ankle is perfectly snug - no slipping.
