For years I've used a stuff sack full of clothes or just a jacket as a pillow while backpacking and after using this pillow I can never go back to that. I have not yet had the chance to test this pillow out camping yet, but rest assured, it is the most comfortable thing you will probably ever sleep on the while camping or backpacking. It is soft and makes that crinkly air pillow sound relatively minimally. I paid a handsome price for it, but totally worth the comfort. I'm tired of sleeping on a dirty clothes pile.
This is by far the best camp pillow I have used. I sleep on my back, side and sometimes on my stomach with a pillow under my arm. Have tried numerous other camp pillows which I find too small and get lost during the night. Only complaint would be that it is a bit noisy (sounds like a plastic bag) when moving.
