The AlphaLight Spork utensil uses a durable aluminum in a sleek-yet-strong shape to create an extremely lightweight utensil. By hard anodizing the aluminum it forms a kind of "exoskeleton," so the utensils can be slimmer and lighter. This hardened shell also encapsulates the aluminum, to completely eliminate the risk of the alloy leaching into food.
NOTE: The cleanser used in dishwashers will damage the anodization, so Alpha Cutlery should not be washed in a dishwasher

What's to be said? It's well made, relatively inexpensive and fairly light. The anodized coating is easy enough to clean and I hopefully won't break it in half like I do with the plastic ones. But really, it's just a spork. It's on par with a Wendy's spoon for shoveling oatmeal into my maw and more useful for meats and such. I would give it higher marks if I could find it in me... best spork ever, super strong and very light, does not scratch or taste bad. used for years during moths camping in Argentina and canada. easy to clean. easy to use. much better then the plastic ones . last a lifetime
