I purchased this item primarily for backpacking usage. I have not had the opportunity to use it for that purpose; however, I did get to use it during my latest car camping trip and loved it. I use this product to carry water from the spring source to camp. Then I can wash-up, fill water bottles & use Steri-Pen, cook, etc. as I please. It folds up very small and is self supporting or will hang from a peg. Can easily empty at night so it will not freeze up.
