I haven't had the opportunity to use this product yet but, I have taken the time to set up the tent with this footprint. Unfortunately, the fly that I received (free with the purchase of the tent) cannot be used in the "minimal" mode with just the rain fly. Setup was fairly straight forward and quick. This fits perfectly with the xt 1. The jakes foot is really great. Just attach the footprint to the body and leave it there pretty much forever. See my review of the lightning xt1.
