Great for getting grip to your feet fast. This four point crampon is made of hardened steel and a strap binding that fits all boots. Great for use on slippery slopes, icy roads, mossy rocks or gardening on steep slopes. This crampon is not suitable for ice climbing.image

Q This is Bob again. Your saying Stubai put a 36" strap on their 4 point crampon to just go over the instep?

That is correct. The extra length could be used to secure it additionally in different directions to your shoe/boot, but the design is to be used for the arch. The product comes with a diagram that is basic showing this.

It won't on all shoe types. The Crampon is meant to be held in the arch section of the shoe. The strap will just keep it in the arch notch of your shoe/boot, with the strap going over your instep.
