The Universal was developed with winter travel and ski touring in mind. The unique Zytel binding system makes this crampon extremely easy to use. Less aggressive point configuration lessens the chance of tripping, yet still allows the Universal to climb moderate slopes with relative ease.

These are the worst crampons on the market as far as I'm aware. The points come rounded out of the box. Grivel Air Tech, Petzl Leopard, or even just microspikes would be a better option for anyone considering these crampons.
This product was used to climb Gannett Peak in Wyoming. Most of the day was glacier treking.
I compare these to my Petzl Irvis crampons, and for the money they work just as good for the use we gave them. Don't wait until the last minute to buy, they might be a little narrow depending on the type of boot you use.
