"Long time backpacker - often off-trail fishing. Previously Lowa, Vasque...spent 2X this price and still you only get ~500 miles before needing to replace any of the modern boots. The Moabs fit, right out of the box...lightweight, and offer both good traction as well as adequate ankle support. Consider this to be a good half way between trail runners and heavier boots - works well for me. Additionally, often get these wet and dry quickly. Deduct one star for small, inside heel rub which came up/developed after 400 miles."
