Product Info for Vargo Titanium Decagon Stove

The Vargo Decagon Titanium stove was designed to be a sturdy alcohol stove that can withstand the abuse of being used everyday while hiking for many months. There are no movable parts and the large center hole makes filling the stove a snap. Once primed, simply place your pot directly on top of the stove covering the filling hole. The bottom "stability plate" keeps the stove stable and prevents your pot from tipping.image

This stove is very lightweight and easy to light. My concern is that it will only heat(not boil) about 1/2 liter of water with one filling of fuel. I plan to use it on solo trips where weight and simplicity are priority and burn time is minimal
Questions & Answers for Vargo Titanium Decagon Stove
Q What is the most optimal size of pot to use and could this be used with a Stanley cook kit which is rather narrow?
A

I am unaware of how well it would work with a Stanley cook kit, but what I can tell you is the diameter of the Decagon Titanium stove is 2.25 inches. The optimal size of pot would probably be similar to this diameter, or 1-2 inches larger. If you had a pot much larger than that, it would not be stable and take a very long time to boil.
