This construction is very lightweigt, so it is easy to take on any trip where you would also take the inflatable sleeping mat. It was very easy to set up, and comfortable to sit in. The best of it all was however the envy it created from the hunting friends because it looks so very comfortable;-)

I've gone through a variety of options over the years, in search of the right object/device for sitting around the campfire after a long day of backpacking. From lightweight aluminum chairs like the Slinglite to self inflating pads to exercise mats cut into squares. While each had some degree of functionality there was always a trade off--weight vs. comfort.

Frankly I stayed away from getting one for years because of concerns about weather. Since you put your air mattress in it you can get it wet and that would be a disaster, righ? Hey, you're not going to be sitting around the campfire in a driving rainstorm anyway, are you? Or maybe a hot coal from the fire will puncture you air mattress. Disaster! Yeah, okay but your hiney will be sitting on it, swatting any flying coals coming your way.

Drop the paranoia and get one of these. At 6 oz and compatible with all Big Agnes air mattresses, you're already carrying 2/3 of your chair weight anyway. I'm all over it. Top shelf! IT ONLY WEIGHS 6 OUNCES and boy is it comfortable!!!!!!

Incredibly light piece of gear to convert your big agnes pad into a chair. Doesn't take much air at all to inflate the pad for chair usage. However, since it is so light, it may not be as durable as you like (or offer protection to pad). I have had no problems, but will use it carefully, mostly to protect the pad (not the chair). 4 stars just becasue of'possible' durability.
