This is an extremely nice Parka at a good price. I was really impressed with the materials and quality workmanship. It's also very warm. I bought an Outdoor Research Maestro and the Frost Line and really wanted to keep the Montbell, but the fit and movement was better for me with the OR. The Montbell is warmer and has no cold spots (unlike the OR) based on just standing outside at 15 F. Also has a very nice and easily adjustable hood. In the end the OR advantage was a little longer cut falling 3 or 4 inches beyond the waist, and the OR stayed put when I reached up over my head. By contrast, the Frost Line falls just below the waist and pulled up significantly above the waist when I reached up. This freedom of movement is important to me, so I very reluctantly returned the Frost Line. For reference I'm 6'2" and 185 lbs and each was size large.

This jacket is nice and warm, the loft of the 800-fill down is great, the adjustable, detachable hood is not too big, the length is 3-4 inches past your waist, which I find to be perfect for this type of jacket. My brother made fun and said I looked like the Michelin man, but honestly when I'm this warm, who cares.
