The material and (Almost) all of the features on this jacket were perfect. I thought I had found THE jacket I had been looking for. Unfortunately, while I was after a higher collar... the collar when fully zipped literally came up to my eyes obscuring most of my vision (except what was directly above my head). Needless to say its not exactly practical to have a collar that covers your eyes. And you could leave the shell unzipped but, whats the point of having a technical waterproof shell you can only zip up to your sternum. And unforunately if you tried to leave it unzipped you have this MASSIVE collar that flaps all over the place and smacks you in the eyes if caught by the wind.

I ended up returning it. Which is unforunate as everything else about the jacket was perfect: sleeve length, general fit, pocket placement, hood size and ability to cleanly cinch down and the material and craftsmenship was absolutely unparalleled. I definately would be willing to try another rab product, I simply will look for something without their storm collar next time.
