I have used the bag for elk scouting bivouacking on 12000+ ft ridges. Temps dropped to freezing and I was more than comfortable. It's light weight and packability are key when you have to move quickly chasing elk herds. This bag will be great for rifle season in mid October. The only downside was the velcro closures on the draft collar and hood keep opening during the night. Right side zip only is a bummer due to most tents have doors on the left side but will probably only use the bag with my bivy sack.

I've had this bag for a year. It is great and the stretch is great for anyone that likes to move around. After using it I don't see how I could go back to a regular non-stretch bag. It is warm and comfortable to past the temp rating to me. Packs down small. I would recommend this bag to anyone.

I bought this bag earlier this year and really liked it but decided to sell it to get a quilt style bag for the weight savings but ended up buying another one of these same Mont-Bells because I liked it so much the first time. This bag is super warm and would consider it true to it's temp rating. The DWR on this bag rocks too! You can pour water on the bag and it just beads off. No need to be afraid of the down getting wet! I haven't had the bag long enough to know how long the DWR will last though.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
