Product Info for Vertex VLS Ultralight Stove

The Vertex VLS Ultralight Stove stove redefine simplicity and performance for the ultralight backpacker. The innovative patent-pending design assembles in seconds, and provides a full wind screen to shield fuel tablets or alcohol burners that directs the heat where you need it. That means you'll cook faster using less fuel. When you're done cooking, the stove collapses to store completely flat in even the smallest pack space. It's so light and compact, you won't even notice it in your pack.image

Used the stand with a Trangia Spirit Burner for 7 days on Isle Royale. We were boiling water so I Never used the simmer ring with the Trangia. When done the Trangia 'snuff' cover easily drops on to stove. After setting the stand up for a few days the locking slots kept slipping and the stove wouldn’t stay ‘locked’ in place. Bought to use with a Trangia Spirit Burner with simmer ring. You replace the 'shelf' designed to hold solid fuel tablets with stove; the lip fits into the slots on the panels that make up the stand. The simmer ring opens about 1/4 the way and you need some thing to slide ring to snuff (closed) position because the stand will get hot, any stick will do. Seams study, haven't fiel...
