Another home run from Arcteryx! I love their fit and finish and the Thorium AR is no different. I have found that it is 95% windproof and warm to 20F plus wind as a stand alone jacket. I have owned many down jackets over the years, but this is the first time I have tried one with a hood. I love it as a true top layer jacket and the hood is so cozy I find myself pulling it up to enjoy the quietness and warmth more than I ever pull up a hood on a rain jacket or parka for example. This jacket pretty much goes with me everywhere when it is cold out. It isn't the highest quality down so it doesnt compress as much as there cerium model but it is really nice. The fabric seems to be fairly burly and holds up against abrasion and wear. The fit is really nice and the length works great for me.

This Jacket is awesome! Super warm for almost any activity whether it is walking around outside on campus or camping in the Mountains. The S fit a little big on me, but I like the way it looks so I have no issues with the size!

This is my go to jacket when it's in the 30's or below, it is very warm! The fit is generous without being over-sized, and not so tight that it's difficult to wear bulkier layers underneath.
