The Asolo Sherpa GV boot is a great mountaineering boot that has a one-piece water-resistant Perwanger leather upper. It has a great Gore-Tex lining which makes it waterproof and breathable. The Asolo/Vibram sole has a Dual Intregrated System technology which absorbs impact, helps during traction and holds while braking on any terrain even the most inaccessible. This boot has a protective toe cap and it is Newmatic crampon compatible.

O.K. I own the Lowa's, Salewa, Asolo, haglofs, yada yada yada, I have a complete collection of different boots and I am happy to own these asolo's. Now they are a very stiff boot boot for a lower scale mountaineerin boot however very comfortable to walk in and I like that good support. True to size, perfect fit. The boots are durable and ventilate well. I would not purchase these boots again as they hurt my feet. Wish I had gone with a different pair of boots. I would give these boots 5 stars if my feet didn't hurt so bad. I do recommend Asolo as they make and incredible product. this review is after logging 100 miles in the boots over two trips.
