We bought this tent bc we carry gear for 2 parents and 2 toddlers. That adds up on a 2k portage. It is lighter than the 2, 2-man tents from MEC/Hardware that we used to take along. I can't believe how light it really is! There is so much space inside and it comes with 2 gear pockets in every corner. We have used our tent for years (5-6?), and I still love this tent. It is very lightweight and sturdy. Beyond the normal rains, it has survived a sandstorm ( sand gets in, but the tent stood) and a localized microburst ( one corner collapsed, but gear stayed dry). I had high hopes for this tent. I have seen so many rav reviews and have always been a fan of Big Agnes. I soon noticed two flaws in the design that prevent me from using this tent. First.
