To extend the life of your Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL 2 tent floor we recommend using a Big Agnes footprint - sold separately. The Big Agnes footprint also enables you to pitch a lightweight, Fast Fly shelter while leaving the tent body behind. The Fast Fly configuration requires the footprint, tent fly, poles, and stakes.

Purchased the footprint as the Copper Spur Hv Ul2 floor material is thin and fragile. It fits the dimensions of the Copper Spur perfectly. Best way to setup - lay out the footprint first, attach the poles to respective corner grommets, this actually locks the footprint onto the poles and keeps it from falling off, then add the tent or rainfly. Let's be honest, is this footprint rather expensive, yes. Should Big Agnes probably included it with the tent, yes. But then again if you're spending this much on a tent why not go with it, I've used it multiple times and I would say absolutely necessary if you're not just camping in your backyard. This footprint will do what it is intended to do. I haven’t used it yet, but will be taking it on a backpacking trip to Coyote Gulch to se with my Big Agnes UL2 tent at the end of this month. This seems like a great item. I always have used ground cloths to protect my tents. Since this is my first lightweight, expensive tent, Copper Spur HV UL 2, I hope to give it all the protection I can.

This footprint is specifically cut of the 2020 model Copper Spur HV UL2. It will have different hardware and dimensions than the older Copper Spur UL2, and will not fit.
