I've had the 1st version of this tent for 8 years now and it's still my go to tent. The newer versions are lighter but not by a ton and mine still works great. I don't like to sleep with other people but I want to be light. But not so light that I don't get bug and weather protection. This tent is perfect for me. Make sure to guy out the sides of the tent by attaching the fly t...

My first BA SL 1, after 6 years of heavy use, finally bit the dust. It's such a great tent I replaced it with the same. I have only ever used 6 of the 13 stakes supplied. The fabric pole loops that run along the top of the tent are hard to thread so I sewed in pole hooks which has made set up so much easier. Free standing requires camp gear to line along the in sides of the ten...

I bought this to use for 2 weeks in New Mexico. Only complaint is a small quality control item most people wouldnt notice anyway (hook loop sewn slightly out of place). It saw a lot of rain storms at night, steady rain for hours at a time usually while I was sleeping. Dries fast, packs light, takes up little space and sets up fast. Im thinking of getting an SL2. Came in the mai...

Got this tent for solo backpacks. Didn't want much weight. It really does the trick. I especially like the mesh on warm nights without the rain fly. It is not especially easy to get in and out of. That's the only possible down side. But that's more than made up for by the light weight and good construction. The zipper is especially well made. It's also a breeze to set up. And d...

It is winter so I haven't had an opportunity to use this tent yet. I have set it up and am looking forward to the first chance to try it out. I love how light it is and it is still roomy. My pack just got 2lbs lighter and that excites me. I will update my evaluation after I have a chance to put it to the test.

Q Hi, I have seen on the big agnes website a different picture with an extra pole on the backside which I can`t seen on the picture shown on your side. Is there a difference between these models? Thanks for helping me. Greetings Andreas

The Seedhouse SL 1 we sell is the same that Big Agnes shows on their website. I'm not sure what the extra poles is that you're talking about, but we definitely sell the same tent. There is an older version, but those are sold out and the only change was the material.
