The CAMP Lift Ascender is a lightweight and innovative compact rope clamp designed for gentle action on the rope. As far as Pulleys & Ascenders goes, these clamps cannot be beat. Both the flanges and cam are constructed from a strong aluminum alloy, so the whole thing weighs just 3.4 ounces. Overall, the design is certified for both EN 12841/B for semi-static ropes sized 10mm to 13mm and EN 567 for ropes sized 8mm to 13mm.

Top Rope Solo Rig

I bought this device to backup my Petzl Microcender. This device is great because it has no sharp teeth and slides freely up and down the rope until a load is applied. Its lightweight and simple design are a big plus. The device works great, but rope soloing is not as much fun as climbing with a partner.

Great primary progression capture for toprope solo setup

Wanted something a little more forgiving as the top piece in a toprope solo system, and it does that job well. Catches quickly without being too harsh, and rope moves through easily with just a little weight at the bottom. Used and worked well with 9.8 and 10.2mm dynamic climbing rope.

A functional ascender. Easy to adjust up and down rope after being weighted. Initially, confused by the illustrations on the device, but loading is intuitive when you open device to load rope.
