This thing has to be seen to be believed. So much larger than you think it's gonna be. Was able to get it placed really well on fist to offwidth transition sizes the other day, and is bomber as a passive piece in varying, non uniform rock (where a nut can't get good surface contact).
It's an ascender and it was inexpensive. Basic features but everything I needed it for. The thumb catch thing can be a little tricky one-handed, and I have large hands. Once there is some weight on the device it is a bit more stable to open and close with one hand. Otherwise, it works well!
Wanted something a little more forgiving as the top piece in a toprope solo system, and it does that job well. Catches quickly without being too harsh, and rope moves through easily with just a little weight at the bottom. Used and worked well with 9.8 and 10.2mm dynamic climbing rope.
Your pretty standard 70m lead rope with a cool twist. Every color pattern is unique, and I'm pretty happy with mine. It's probably not going to be a rope that stands out well against the rock, but close-up it's pretty cool to look at. Can't say anything about durability, but as packaged it flakes out very nicely. Feel is slick to start.
