tri-cams inspire either unconditional love, or absolute hatred. climbers who've taken the time to learn how to use them swear by them. those unfamiliar with them curse them. I've seen more of these little devils "fixed" over the last thirty years -- the small sizes can be tricky to clean -- typically a result of a following climber not understanding how they work.

This thing has to be seen to be believed. So much larger than you think it's gonna be. Was able to get it placed really well on fist to offwidth transition sizes the other day, and is bomber as a passive piece in varying, non uniform rock (where a nut can't get good surface contact).
I picked up a full set of these and a double set from white to "purple" (#2?). The middle to larger sizes (2.5-4) offer less of a weight benefit then their smaller and larger companions. These little legends fit into all those placements that wont take anything else, such as round pockets, but can also be used passively. Lightweight too.
