A Good Sleeping Pad

This is a good pad. It compresses very well. It is comfortable and warm. The downside is it does take time to inflate and deflate.

the only tradeoff is it is slow to deflate

did alot of research before deciding in the exped downmat 5 lite. there are tradeoffs with weight, durability, comfort and convenience. this for me was the right mix. you give up convenience as the deflation is a pain although i have found that if you are mindful about how you depress the deflate valve it goes faster. have used it on 6 backpacking trips so far in northern minne...

Deflating by itself and not when I tried to do it. Like the new simple pump that comes with it, though. I am not sure if i could use the same pump to deflate, but, I could not figure it out.

Used the exped downmat5 this weekend on a mt. whitney climb, set tent up on a rock outcrop ( only place not covered with snow) the exped kept me insulated from the cold rock. gets 5 stars
