How long does a Goal Zero battery last?
A Goal Zero battery will hold a charge for about 3-6 months if charged fully. The "battery lifecycle" means how many times you can use a battery from 100 percent to 0 charge. A Goal Zero Yeti battery is rated for 500 full life cycles, when it then drops to 80 percent capacity. Goal Zero says you can expect over 2,000 life cycles from a Yeti.
Is the Goal Zero Yeti worth it?
If you're looking for a good solar generator (aka "portable power station") that will work well for camping trips and as a backup Portable Power source for emergencies, a Goal Zero Yeti may be just what you're looking for. Depending on the size you get, you can even power things like a home refrigerator in the event of an electricity outage.
