I use toughsacks during winter hikes to store extra hats, mittens, gloves and socks. My first aid and survival items are stored in another toughsack. The white interior is superb for low light conditions and the different exterior colors are bright which makes it easy to select the proper sack from my pack.

The seams for these bags are not taped. They are made from 200 D nylon and you could use them for back country clothes washing if you mean to wash the clothes in the bag so you don't lose them in water. They are not waterproof.

There was no information relating to whether the seams were taped on these bags but they are made from durable, rip-stop nylon and Hypalon grommets which are lighter and hold up better than brass grommets. Seeing that some campers use Ziploc bags for their laundry, these bags seem tough enough to get the job done and should still last for years.
