I bought this kit because a friend of mine had a previous version that was just straight aluminum with not Teflon coating. I decided to switch out the components inside since they were so bulky in order to fit more in. First up, this weighs 16 ounces, not 10.7. Most of this kit is staying at home on hiking trips. Pity, it's a nice setup as two pans or one pot with a lid, and construction is good quality. Wrap the handle so it doesn't scratch the Teflon.
I had the choice of one of those little aluminum mess kits (those boyscout ones) and this. Wouldn't trade this one for the world! Because its non-stick; the food ends up in your gut and not stuck to a pan! Also it's easy to clean.
The handle is a little tricky to attach (and remove), but once it's on it's trust worthy!
