Great backpacking mug/bowl

Written on May 05, 2014

Bought this last year and it was one of my best backpacking investments. Pretty light weight, collapses for easy storage. Its bigger than my sea to summit x-bowl, so I just use this as both my mug and bowl. It has measuring marks on the inside so I can measure water for meals. Water tight lid is always a helpful addition. It says dishwasher safe, but I wouldn't trust that. Better off cleaning by h

Comfortable and good for long trips.

Bought a medium and took it on an overnight to start breaking in the padding for a much larger trip later. Everything felt great. Plenty of storage capacity especially since I prefer o bring a few extras with me. Could definitely use more external pockets such as hip belt pockets and a couple on the front. J-panel access is great.

The Pot/pan are great.

I bought this kit because a friend of mine had a previous version that was just straight aluminum with not Teflon coating. The sea to summit x-bowl, gsi fairshare mug, optimus crux stove, nano pack towel, msr folding spoon and fork, camp soap, lighter, and pot handle all fit in there. My recommendation:
