The duelist cook system works great if used over a small propane camp stove. It could also work over an open fire but removal of the lid and handle would be necessary (so you don’t melt any of the plastic).

This thing has been awesome in the short time I've owned it. Fits nicely even in my day pack for a hot lunch on the peak. Fits a pocket rocket, fuel can, two bowls and 2 spoons easily. Love it
If you and a buddy are hiking in the middle of the woods or are car camping and you want a reliable and light weight cook set this is it i have brought this on many camp outs and it has not failed me or brook.
Your fine to cook with the GSI Pinnacle Dualist over a campfire on a grate, but keep in mind if it is too close to the flame you may have scorching. You would want to avoid scorching your pot.
