The body-mapped shape and V chamber design combine to maintain comfort and minimize air movement that can impact insulation. The pad works well and insulation kept me warm on a 4 night backpacking trip. I felt no cold at all on my backside (38F-42F nights). I let a little air out of it to be more comfortable for me as I'm used to a soft airbed. Packs down nicely and doesn't take up too much room.

I have used this pad while backpacking both in my hammock and tent. While hanging in my hammock it keeps me from losing heat from beneath and provides a stable platform to lay on.
