Comfortable and warm

Written on Jun 11, 2019

The pad works well and insulation kept me warm on a 4 night backpacking trip. I felt no cold at all on my backside (38F-42F nights). I let a little air out of it to be more comfortable for me as I'm used to a soft airbed. Packs down nicely and doesn't take up too much room.

Affordable and comfortable bag

Written on Jun 11, 2019

This bag was comfortable for my 4 night trip on Isle Royale last week. The lowest temp was around 38F and average nights around 40F. I did get a little cold a few nights, but it took me a couple nights to figure out that I needed to tighten the draw string on the draft collar and basically cover the bag over my face. Otherwise a draft would come in. The night that I did so, I was not at all cold. So I'm chalking the first few nights of being a little bit cold to user error. So I'll give it 5 stars. I was wearing under armour cold gear and no socks. My feet were not at all cold.

Quality backpack

Written on Jun 11, 2019

I just got back from a 5 day 4 night backpacking trip on Isle Royale National Park. I had a full weight of 32lbs and the pack felt light and comfortable after adjusting. I put on 7-8 miles the first 3 days and a bit less the other 2. I was able to fit all necessities for backcountry camping for 5 days. The front access was pretty nice although I found I only needed to use it once on this trip since I put up my tent in different locations each night. But it was handy. I did use the lumbar pack one time and that was convenient. I'm not an experienced backpacker, but this pack helped me have an enjoyable time.

Very nice lightweight jacket

My wife really likes the quality, fit and performance of this jacket. She has a few other quality jackets and likes the Mammut the best.
