The Montane Further Faster Neo Jacket is designed for ultra mountain treks, trail runs and mountain marathons. The Further Faster Neo Jacket is built for optimum speed over long distances. NeoShell fabric is so breathable that under heavy exertion it really maximises convection of moisture vapour from the inside to the outside, ensuring the wearer stays as dry as today's technology will allow.

Micro-taped seams
Tailored with an athletic body cut, specifically for backpacking and long distance trail runs
Fully adjustable ~trail hood' with three points of adjustment designed to fit over warm headwear
Hood visor stiffened with a wire on the lip for adjustability
Pre-elasticated rear waist with low profile flat elastic tape
Bonded lower adjustable hem to prevent spindrift entry and heat loss

This is a great shell. Extremely well made with incredible attention to detail. The Neoshell fabric is waterproof and actually does breathe (unlike gore-tex and similar membranes that are said to breathe - but don't). Prolitegear did a full review on this jacket on their YT channel and they raved about it which is why I bought it. Everything about it is built well and is well thought out. This Montane jacket is very well made, with a lot of nice features. I had to return it due to a being too tight fitting, particularly in the waist. Since I was buying it to wear over other layers, it definitely was not going to work. I'm 5'10" with a medium build, but with a 36 inch waist.

I had GoreTex jackets for many years and everytime I started sweating they turned into wearable steam baths. Now this jacket made of PolarTec Neoshell fixes that problem. It really does breathe. The fit is great, the look and features are great. I just wished it had a internal mesh pocket, but that's a minor issue I can live with. I am a happy customer. Thanks Campsaver!

This jacket would be perfect if it werent for one major flaw! The small of the back has an elastic binder, in the center. The binder causes the back of the jacket to flair out when wearing.
