Cant comment on well how these pants work for climbing as I bought them for casual use. Nice lightweight pant with a good cut and built to mountain equipments usual high standards. Neat elasticated waist that keeps the pants close fitting but not restrictive. Probably make a good lightweight hiking pant if you can get by without zipped pockets.
