The multi-award winning Lhotse remains our best selling GORE-TEX Pro jacket, a mountaineering classic that represents the best possible blend of protection, weight and durability.
The Lhotses popularity comes from its versatility, a reliable refuge on rain lashed mountains, icy gullies or Alpine peaks where it can be worn all day or stay buried in a pack, a reassuring presence if youre caught out far from the valley floor.
GORE-TEX Pro is used in conjunction with a hard wearing 80 denier face fabric over the shoulders and sleeves and a slightly lighter 40 denier fabric through the main body. This gives an ideal combination of durability, comfort and packability for regular mountain use.
The Alpine fit removes excess fabric whilst ensuring complete freedom of movement and still allowing room for normal year-round layering. Our renowned Mountain HC Hood gives exceptional protection in the very worst weather, accommodating a climbing helmet when required, it easily adjusts to any situation.
Large pockets and easy to use moulded YKK? zips give easy access to essentials and laminated cuffs are sized to fit over a glove to seal out the worst weather.

I was stunned by the new alpine fit Mountain Equipment has developed. Moves well and no hindrance in any way. Relatively light for a, go-anywhere and do-anything jacket. My Ex. Lg is 19 oz. The Lhotse is a feature-rich hardshell jacket, putting Gore-Tex Pro waterproofing and breathability on full display. Work hard, and this jacket excels. The lhotse jacket is in the top line of Mountain Equipment , it made of GTX pro fabric which is highly water proof and breathable, but durable as well. This jacket is not slim fit as Mammut, fit myself well.

I would not recommend the Mountain Equipment Lhotse Jacket for cycling in those regions, as this jacket is meant to be an alpine shell and intended for mountaineering and blizzard like weather. I would recommend a lighter shell and even an active shell for your trips.
