A very useful and necessary piece of equipment to protect your tent. It does have one drawback, however: given the tent pole ball ending design that snaps on to the Jake's foot, you cannot connect the footprint directly to the poles without the Jake's foot. Great product. I would have had holes in my new tent if i wouldn't have had this. The small sharp stones of the BWCA (boundry waters canoe area) would have ruined my tent the first night its a must if you plan on using your tent more then one season.
