A very useful and necessary piece of equipment to protect your tent. It does have one drawback, however: given the tent pole ball ending design that snaps on to the Jake's foot, you cannot connect the footprint directly to the poles without the Jake's foot. That means that for a minimalist setup (just the footprint and the fly) you will need to either detach the Jake's feet from the main tent bod

Great product. I would have had holes in my new tent if i wouldn't have had this. The small sharp stones of the BWCA (boundry waters canoe area) would have ruined my tent the first night its a must if you plan on using your tent more then one season.
