A very useful and necessary piece of equipment to protect your tent. It does have one drawback, however: given the tent pole ball ending design that snaps on to the Jake's foot, you cannot connect the footprint directly to the poles without the Jake's foot. This is really just a very soft bed sheet that clips to the four inside corners of the tent. Very comfortable to place over your mattress and remains taught. A bit heavy though for extended hiking.

I have the Fillow normal and this one, which is a slightly wider version. Size and weight penalty for the additional size is minimal and the extra size is worth it for me. Both are great products. (I use for expedition kayaking, short backpacking trips, and whenever I need a comfortable pillow like an air travel).

This is definitely a great product, but since gear at this level is all about trade-offs, I should start by saying that I use this tent primarily for expedition kayaking and occasionally for very short two day hikes. Weight is not a primary concern for me; I need something that will fit well in my kayak, that will sleep two people very comfortably and three people occasionally, that keeps me dry i
