A spoon like this is great for keeping your hands clean when eating freeze dried meals from the packet. No more reaching in with a short spoon! I have a similar Vargo spoon as well as this Optimus version. I like this one better because the part you put in your mouth is smooth unlike others that have a texture like fine sandpaper over the whole spoon. It's a minor quibble but, ... Read more

Sturdy, long handle. At 0.7 oz. it's heavier than my 0.4 oz sea to summit spoon. I think most of the weight is in that thicker polished bowl, which cleans much easier.
The handle is a bit sturdier as well. For the 3/10 oz gain, I'm very happy with a stronger spoon, less likely to bend in my pack.

I had similar spoons to this, but lost a couple and needed a replacement. These spoons are great for eating out of a food pouch or a deep thermos. I like these better than the previous ones I had because the polished spoon feels better and does not feel strange when you hold it with your teeth. That's just personal through. The process of the spoon was good also.

These spoons are exactly as presented by Campsaver. They arrived quickly... As usual. the mat finished handle feels good in your hand and the polished bowl of the spoon has a better mouth feel when eating
