Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect for freeze dried meals
A spoon like this is great for keeping your hands clean when eating freeze dried meals from the packet. No more reaching in with a short spoon! I have a similar Vargo spoon as well as this Optimus version. I like this one better because the part you put in your mouth is smooth unlike others that have a texture like fine sandpaper over the whole spoon. It's a minor quibble but, all else being e

What a spoon!

by Eric G., Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on April 24, 2017
I mean what can you say about a spoon that hasn’t already been said? Well, it has a long handle so I can reach the bottom of the Mountain House without getting my fingers dirty, its titanium so it is light weight I can walk around with something that is extremely high tech in my pack. And its….um…yeah, thats pretty much it. Good spoon I recommend you buy one. Besides, what else are you going to spend your money on?

Great utensil

by paul w., Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on February 28, 2017
This is the third one I've purchased for my family , we camped last year and forgot all of our utensils except for our titanium spork which we used as a spatula cooking burgers and every other use around heat. If you only have one utensil make it a titanium spork.

It’s a fork, it’s a spoon, no! it’s both and it’s works just fine. worth a bit of green to get this handy utensil and if you need a toggle for a whoopee sling, or a bear bag…

Light spoons

by Derek K., Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on March 25, 2016
These spoons are exactly as presented by Campsaver. They arrived quickly... As usual. the mat finished handle feels good in your hand and the polished bowl of the spoon has a better mouth feel when eating

Good product

by Stephan G., Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on December 16, 2015
I had similar spoons to this, but lost a couple and needed a replacement. These spoons are great for eating out of a food pouch or a deep thermos. I like these better than the previous ones I had because the polished spoon feels better and does not feel strange when you hold it with your teeth. That's just personal through. The process of the spoon was good also.

I gave the sporks to my son as a gift. He was trilled to receive them. He has not used them yet.

Optimus Ti spoon

by Matthew G., from LA, United States Written on December 11, 2014
Sturdy, long handle. At 0.7 oz. it's heavier than my 0.4 oz sea to summit spoon. I think most of the weight is in that thicker polished bowl, which cleans much easier.
The handle is a bit sturdier as well. For the 3/10 oz gain, I'm very happy with a stronger spoon, less likely to bend in my pack.

Very nice (but not all that light)

by desmobob, Written on April 3, 2014
A very nicely made spoon that is perfect for reaching into those cook-in-the-bag backpacking meals without getting all messy.

I have a similar spoon from another company... it's made of anodized aluminum and weighs less than this titanium spoon. It also came with a micro-'biner and cost less. But the Optimus spoon has a nicely polished spoon end, where the other has a rough finish that just didn
