Got this pack at a great price compared to other vendors. The pack itself has a lot of versatility with plenty of straps or spots to strap extra gear. Great pack at a great price. It was last years model and I picked it up at a super price. It is so comfortable. What an improvement over my old pack. Lots of pockets and well made. The mesh suspension system is really comfortable and allows some ventilation on your back while distributing the load all over your back.
1. The 12 version had mesh pockets on the waist band while the new version has woven fabric.
2. The shoulder straps on the new version can be adjusted for longer or shorter backs while the 12 version is not adjustable.
3. The waist belt on the new version has additional adjustment capabilities over the 12 version.
