The Osprey Kode 22 pack is great for a day on the lifts and hiking Palmyra Peak at Telluride. It is a low profile but spacious pack that allows panel access to an avy gear and dry gear pocket.
Features of Osprey Kode 22 Pack:
Dual, lower reinforced ski carry loops and upper reinforced V-carry straps combine for A-frame style ski carry.
The Kode 22 features zippered panel access to both the snow/tool pocket, and the hydration/ dry gear compartment as well as a top zippered slash pocket.
Use upper V-carry straps and the lower reinforced ski carry loops to carry skis diagonally to either the right or left side.
An internal sewn-in hydration sleeve with reservoir hanger and a fully insulated, dual zippered harness router with hypo-allergenic stretch garage provides for hassle-free hydration.
I used Kode 22 everytime I went in backcountry for skiing and I was impress how nice can carry skis on it. The diagonal system is incredible. I used diverse skis, like K2 Coomback, Hardside, Pontoon, Rossignol B2, and every time the backpack was well balanced. Has enough space for shovell, clothes and all you need for a day.

It's a well made pack, the fabrics and components are very good.
It works great on planes, trains too. And ... of course, its natural habitat: on the mountains.
Great pack at all.
