The Petzl Actik is a compact, powerful, and versatile headlamp. With 350 lumens, the Petzl headlamp has a multi-beam design with several brightness settings and red-light capabilities. The latter helps preserve night vision because it won't overwhelm your eyes in lowlight environments. Plus, the headlamp is equipped with reflective material that illuminates in the dark and in turn makes you visible to others. While the headlamp is ideal for outdoor activities like running, hiking, and mountaineering, it will also work well clipped to a helmet or bicycle.
On paper, the Actik headlamp weighs in at 86 grams, it has an IPX4 water-resistant construction, and operates using either a Core rechargeable battery or three AAA batteries. Battery life ranges from two to 12 hours depending on power setting. And the light can reach out to 80 meters. The Petzl Actik offers much more than most Sport Headlamps. this is what I would take on a long journey, because there is an opportunity to recharge. there is enough light for night camping or climbing to the top.very high quality and good light for any people.

This headlamp has all the settings you can need. It has three options for white light and two red light options. It’s great for backpacking, riding your bike at night in the city and working in the shop on your car. I even use this when I travel and stay in hostels. I bought this for a family camping, and am 100% satisfied.
Maybe it's not for perfect headlamp for pro level outdoor activities, I would say it's more than enough for recreational campers like me.
If you are looking for a headlamp for casual usage, I would recommend this!

this is the first Petzl headlamp I bought. My friends recommend it to me. It is a good choice for hiking or trekking. the 300lm is very light which is enough for walking in the night. I use it for several trekking by now, very satisfied with it. I will buy a core battery for it which would save lot of money.

Several settings and red lamp settings as well. Takes 3 aaa batteries. Suggest getting the rechargeable pack that can be purchased separately. All light settings are bright enough for a camping setting. Can be used around the house or working on hard to see places.

What a great deal! I bought this light for my grandpa, who plows snow in the winter and he said it was all he needed to shovel sidewalks and do anything in the middle of the night that his headlights couldn't do.the nice thing is that it has multiple light settings for various needs. Definitely recommend
