I'm wondering how the minimum weight on this tent is so much less than the pack weight. What are the factors that make this difference? — 2 Answers

The Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2 Tent has three listed weights. The packed weight of 2 pounds 10 ounces includes poles, fly, tent body, stakes, guy lines, stuff sacks, instructions, and packaging. Basically the weight it's delivered from the shipper. The trail weight of 2 pounds 2 ounces refers to the poles, fly, and tent. The fast fly weight of 1 pound 11 ounces refers to the poles, tent fly, and accessory Fast Fly footprint.
